Dublin: Day 5

 1. Had Victoria sandwich (Tesco's foiiinest, pinkies out please) and a stale scone (the first one in the packet was lovely, but by the time I got to the second one it had gone past its prime) for breakfast. Note: the measure of a good scone: I enjoy eating it even without clotted cream and jam.

2. Walked to the Liberties. Mike got a sandwich from the Art of Coffee. The place had looked dreamy online cos it looked like it was set in a conservatory, but it was only one section of the cafe and that section was closed by the time we got there. So we (I, grudgingly) settled for regular seats (with a nice leafy green background nonetheless).

3. Checked out Trinity College-- saw a poster by the college store asking kids to go easy on the MDMA. Then, the Book of Kells. The Long Room with the Gaia installation is super cool.

4. Had an overpriced shawarma at Reyna, but I was ravenous, so I ate the whole thing.

5. Ran out of reading material and all the bookshops closed before we got a chance to stop by any of them. Mike got me a Hello magazine from Tesco. Was eewed out by the socialites and try-hards featured in it and the general tone of the magazine. I don't get people using money as a way of being in a club or for posturing. I like stuff, but I don't like buying company or people. Money is strictly utilitarian for me. Loved seeing Kate Middleton looking sharp in her coatdresses though.

6. Fell asleep to an audiobook of The Enchanted April on YouTube.
