1. Took the train to Dun Laoghaire and grabbed toast and fries from one of the seven stalls at the CoCo market. Sat down by the bandstand, with an old man playing guitar (or was he?) on one side and seas gulls posted up in the center, one atop a lamppost, looking yearningly towards us. Unlike the Brighton gulls, these guys were not rowdy, they let little kids run at them and did not attempt to snatch away our food. Then again, well-behaved seagulls seldom get fries.
2. Walked along the harbor in the bitter cold. Couldn't wait to get away from the water, but we soldiered on for a bit, it was very pretty after all.
3. Caught the train to Blackrock market, which turned out to be a dud. Probably livelier in summer.
4. Returned to Dublin Center and stopped by the Sweetest Thing for hot cocoa. I asked for Italian hot chocolate since it was on the menu board, but realized it was a longshot from the look of the women behind the counter. They served me some regular cocoa with plenty of cream on top. Still, it was a nice spot to warm up-- very cozy and chirstmasy.
5. Went to Hodges Figgis bookstore and shortlisted some potential candidates for my next read. Wandered through Arket and H&M to kill time.
6. Overindulged at Taste of HongKong with roast duck for myself and char siu for the husband.
